LITRE METER STRENGTHENS SENIOR MANAGEMENT WITH ENGINEERING FOCUS

Leading designer, manufacturer and supplier of custom flowmeters Litre Meter is strengthening its senior management team with a key new appointment.

Paul de Waal has joined Litre Meter as global business development director. Paul joins Litre Meter from Sierra Instruments in the Netherlands where he was managing director. He brings with him vast expertise in a range of flowmeter technologies including thermal mass flow.

Paul?s background is in engineering. He studied measurement and control and telecommunications engineering before travelling and working in Israel, Australia and the United States for several years. Returning to the Netherlands he completed his Dutch Army service before working in sales and distribution for a number of companies in the instrumentation sector including Autoclave Engineers, Danfoss Flow, Williams and Sierra.

Paul said: ?It was John Olin the founder of Sierra Instruments who asked me to set up Sierra Europe. Now, 22 years later, I am leaving a mature and successful Sierra division behind. I am very grateful to Sierra for all it has taught me but now I am ready for a new challenge.?

At Litre Meter ? part of the Tasi Group ? Paul will be mainly responsible for strengthening the company?s focus on developing products and market strategy in the Americas, Asia and Europe for Tasi Flow Group technology brands including AW Lake, KEM and TRICOR.

Commenting on his move to Litre Meter Paul said: ?I feel fortunate to be given the opportunity to join such an excellent and professional team. I look forward to working with them to focus on the expansion of the of the Tasi flow group product line.

?Flow meters are my passion. I find the combination of technologies and variables in physics, electronics, mechanics, processes and materials fascinating. I believe in focussing on core capabilities, correct application and making quality, innovative products. But in the end it is all about people.?
