LITRE METER ON SHOW AT MIDDLE EAST PETRO INDUSTRY EVENT

LM1 - China distributor image.JPGUK flowmeter specialist Litre Meter will be showing a number of new products on stand 8384 in hall eight at the Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition & Conference (ADIPEC) in November.

The event takes place between 10 and 13 November. This is the first time Litre Meter has exhibited at the prestigious ADIPEC (www.adipec.com) exhibition.

Litre Meter CEO Charles Wemyss said: “This is the first time at a show of this size in the Middle East and we are excited by the prospect.

“We are exhibiting alongside our German sister company and distributor KEM. Sharing a stand gives us a great opportunity to showcase our products, both new and longstanding, in a vitally important market place.”

The product line-up includes a new low-flow capability rotary piston flowmeter, new Swagelok® connections, a new project documentation system and a new display.

The new flowmeter is the LF03. It is the latest in a series of low-flow VFF rotary piston meters and takes the capability of the range down to lower flows than ever before – for example, on a fluid with a viscosity of 5 cP the LF03 will measure down to 0.015 litres/hour rather than 0.024 litres/hour for the LF05 and 0.065 litres/hour for the LF15.

Alongside the new meters Litre Meter will be showing new 0.5 inch Swagelok® connections which will now be available for all small VFF meters. They will consist of two 0.5 inch OD tube ends pre-fitted with 0.5 inch Swagelok unions and travelling caps. The new connections will make it much easier to fit meters on site.

Litre Meter will also be demonstrating its new electronic project documentation system. Details of each meter which the company supplies as part of a single project – for example, all the meters supplied for a particular chemical injection skid – will be held at a unique URL. The website will include items such as calibration certificates, PMI certificates and material certificates as well as specifications, manuals and instructions.

The address of the website will be printed on a chemical-resistant and wear-resistant label securely attached to each meter. The label will also carry a QR code linking to the website which will make it easy for service personnel on site to call up all the documentation on a smart phone by simply pointing it at the label.

Completing Litre Meter’s new product line-up at ADIPEC 2014 will be a new FlowPod display unit.

This will be an evolution of the existing large eight-digit LCD display to provide additional functionality which has been requested by users, including the facility to display flow rate, total flow and analog rate. It has a removable Micro SD card for programming and offers 4-20 mA, HART and pulse outputs as standard.

The new FlowPod can be directly mounted on the meter without a cable loop and the display can be adjusted to any angle. It will be ATEX, IECEx and CSA approved and comes in a 3 ¼-inch diameter stainless steel or aluminium enclosure – just two-thirds the diameter of the current FlowPod. A new sensor with cartridge and connector design provides easy change-out.
