Ease-of-use is a major factor for any operator of electronic instruments. The Litre meter Micro with its high resolution rate and totalisation display as selectable functions has been designed to be very 'user-friendly'. The instruments have a unique back-lit display which identifies the engineering units in use and any flow alarms. The library of back-lit displays also aid the programming of the unit.
The instrument is very well engineered. For instance, a function is included for on-site meter calibration determination. This allows re-calibration for specific viscosity and flowrate conditions of the installation to maximise accuracy. The user need only quantify a test volume or weight and the unit provides both the number of pulses from the flowmeter during the test and the test time to 1/1000 second. Using this data a calibration point is very accurately derived.
The unit can be provided with an optional current-sinking or voltage analogue output, together with a pulse output for volume flow and low/high flow alarm. A standard relay output changes state to signify flow is present.
The units are supplied in two standard mounting styles, as shown. These are the single DIN panel mounting type '30' having a 96mm square front bezel or the '65' wall mounting type. The '30' style instrument has a metal case with rear mounted terminations. The '65' type is an IP65 rated, environment resistant unit, manufactured in a robust chemically-resistant ABS plastic with terminations in the lower, sealed gland box. All instruments accept 110/220-240 Volt AC mains and 24 Volt DC power supply. The instruments are mounted remotely from the flowmeter and areconnected by low power signal cabling.
