Low Viscosity Liquids

Type Identification

1. MM25/SN/40 Bar/Q - CE. This is a 1" meter with a direct mounted electronics in 316 stainless steel sealed with an FPM 0-ring. The electronics is rated to 70ºC and is enclosed in an IP65 polycarbonate case type "Q". Meter body 316, rotor glass-filled nylon.

2. MM25/SS/100 Bar - CE. This standard 1" meter has a stalk mounted electronics in an IP65 metal enclosure, allowing the meter body to operate up to 135ºC. Unit rated to 100 bar service pressure with a PTFE top cap gasket. The rotor is PFA for this "SS" type of meter.

3. MM 12.5/SS/100 Bar - CE This 1/2" meter is shown with a short stalk for compact installation where the service temperature is low.

4. MM20/SN/10 Bar/LMH - CE. The specification of this 3/4" meter is as per item 1 except that a rubber type LMH replaces the IP65 cover type "Q".

5. LM05/PP/5 Bar/LMH - CE This meter has 8mm push on hose connections in polypropylene with a 316 stainless steel electronics sealed with an FPM 0-Ring. The turbine ring assembly is 316 stainless steel with a polypropylene rotor. The meter is intended for laboratory-type use.

6. LM220/PVDF/5 Bar/LMH - CE. This meter has a stainless steel or titanium turbine ring assembly, with 11 mm push-on hose connections for laboratory-type use.

7. LM45/GN/5 Bar/LMH - CE. This meter has 8mm push on hose connections with a body in glass-filled nylon for laboratory use.

8. LM45/SS/100 Bar - CE. This meter has 1/4" BSP male screwed connections.

9. LM220/SS/200 Bar - CE This meter has a short stalk for low temperature operation with 200 bar rating having a top cap sealed with a metal 0-ring. The unit has welded connections with compression fittings.

10. LM220/SN/10 Bar/LMH - CE.

11. LM24/SS/30 Bar - CE.

12. MM25/PVC/5 Bar/LMH - CE. Body in PVC with 316 stainless steel orifice. Body in PVC with 316 stainless steel orifice. Turbine ring assembly is 316 stainless steel having a glass-filled nylon rotor. The 316 stainless steel electronics is sealed by an FPM 0-Ring. The Unit is rated to 5 bar and 50ºC maximum service conditions. The electronics is protected by rubber hat type LMH. "Q" cover optionally fitted.

13. MM200/SS/20 Bar - CE. This is a 8" meter is suitable for mounting between flanges and inside the bolt circle diameter. Rated to 135ºC service using a stalk mounted electronics and 20 bar maximum.

14. MM150/SS/100 Bar - CE. 6" meter.

15. MM100/SS/100 Bar - CE. 4" meter.

16. MM75/SS/100 Bar - CE. 2" meter.

17. MM50/SS/100 Bar - CE. 2" meter.

18. MM150/PVC/5 Bar/LMH - CE. Similar to 12

19/20/21. Meters similar to 18. except in different sizes.

22. MM/37/PVC/PVC/5 Bar/LMH - CE. Meter body and turbine ring assembly in PVC, PFA rotor with sealed ferrites and all-sapphire bearings for applications where no metal parts may be used. The electronics is protected by a PVC top cap as a non-wetted part.

23. MM37/SS/100 Bar - CE.

24. Special Connections. Special meter connections are manufactured to customer requirements as typified by these MM37 and MM50 meters.

Note: For flowmeters with 'stalk-mounted' transmitter electronics a secondary terminations enclosure is included as an assembly.

Litre Meter provides a range of flowmeters which are selected to meet individual application requirements. Both low and high viscosity fluids can be metered such as Freon and printing inks, for example. Meters for both clean and dirty fluids can be supplied and gas flow meters are available. Flowmeter categories are as follows:

Pelton Wheel Flowmeters

These meters are suitable for low viscosity fluids. They offer facilities of wide rangeability and the capacity to measure exceptionally low flows.

Rotary Meters

Rotary meters in the VFF - Viscous Fluids Flowmeter series, accommodate flowrates from 0.00016 to 1750 litres per minute. They can be constructed to accept high pressures such as 1380 bar and 4000 bar as required for the offshore oil industry and gas compressors. They provide a simple volt-free contact closure output which is inherently Intrinsically Safe.

Helical Screw Flowmeters

These meters are of a positive displacement design which does not induce pulsation into the flowing stream. The smallest meter will operate with viscous fluids from 0.015 litres per minute. When employed on low viscosity fluids the largest meter can operate to 7,500 litres per minute. They give a high resolution pulse output and are extremely accurate, providing typically ±0.15% of actual reading for the majority of applications. These meters can be supplied with the Litre Meter pick-up and transmitter system including the Intrinsically Safe type. These meters are available for very high service pressures.

Electromagnetic Flowmeters

Electromagnetic flowmeters are provided for use with conductive fluids only. They have no moving parts and can accept particulate matter up to and including slurry flow. They have excellent rangeability providing an analogue output and 'real-time' pulse outputs for high accuracy batching purposes. Meters can have in-built Rate and Total displays. They are available to cover flows from 0.004 to 4 million litres per minute.

Turbine Flowmeters

For Liquid and Gas measurement the traditional turbine meter still provides an excellent solution for many applications. When you add in the ability to measure cryogenics, measure subsea, measure to fiscal accuracy and in exotic materials then the range of applications is really diverse.

Gas Flowmeters

A comprehensive range of thermal mass gas meters for flows as low as 0-4 SCCM and up to emissions stack-flows are available. These measure mass directly not requiring the measurement and computation of pressure and temperature. The meters have a wide measurement range. There is also a complementary range of wet-gas drum flowmeters for volume and vortex meters for steam etc.
