The Pulsar Guard 2001 sand sensor is an ultrasonic acoustic sensor that has been designed primarily for use by the oil and gas industry. It is used in conjunction with the SandAlert sand monitoring system. The Pulsar Guard 2001 sand sensor is an intrinsically safe unit (ATEX EEx ia IIC T4) made from 316 stainless steel with environmental protection to IP68. It can be fitted to any pipe diameter and may be positioned up to 1,000 m (3,280 ft) away from the SandAlert Monitor using a standard instrument cable connection.
The SandAlert is a sand and particle monitor for the oil and gas industry. SandAlert is ideal wherever you need to keep wells producing efficiently at the highest rate possible and/or whenever you need a quantitative, real-time, and accurate measure of produced solids/sand particles. The SandAlert measures sand production completely independently of flow regime, giving you a cost-effective real-time presentation of sand and trending information. All the data gathered by SandAlert can be saved and logged for further analysis and long term records. The SandAlert monitor may be positioned up to 1,000 m (3,280 ft) away using a standard instrument cable connection.
The SandAlert Portable is a complete portable sand monitoring system, including a sensor, mounting strap, and 50 m (164 ft) extension lead. The SandAlert Portable is fitted into a rugged pelican case making it easy to transport and secure. A SandAlert Monitor provides a graphics display that gives real-time sand data and trend information for up to 90 days at 1-minute intervals. A PC interface is also available and allows data to be downloaded and graphical analysis to be conducted. The SandAlert Portable is perfect for short-term well evaluation and to determine methods of control.
