The Litre Meter team has been on its travels over the past ten weeks. Following on from a very successful visit to Offshore Europe in Aberdeen where we showed the whisky rig with the new LF03 positive displacement meters we decided to join our distributors at two new (for us) exhibitions.
The whisky rig uses an LF03 VFF meter to dispense scotch whisky at low flow rates. This demonstrates the capabilities of our low flow meters such as the LF03, which can measure the flow of a fluid with a viscosity of 5 cP down to 0.015 litres/hour.
Our whisky rig was going to be the star of the show but the problem was that both exhibitions overlapped and were on different continents. That meant quickly developing a second rig.
Once the rigs were packed one was taken to Busan in Korea for the Kormarine conference and exhibition where Litre Meter shared a stand with new distributor S-Tek Engineering. The other was sent to Stavanger in Norway for the Offshore Technology Days show. Here again Litre Meter was sharing space with its distributor – in this case, Norway-based Autek.
Both shows were well attended. More than 27,000 visitors filed through the doors in Stavanger over the two days of the exhibition. The Autek stand was busy and we showed off the LF03 and the whisky rig to a regular stream of visitors.
In Korea, Kormarine in Busan was even bigger. There were over 40,000 visitors to the show over the four days of the event. We were able to sign up our latest distributor in the Asia/Pacific market and promote our products to a wide range of visitors.
After almost 12,000 miles and a week on the road (or in the air) it is now back to the office to make the most of all the contacts we made.
